Packing

the apartment packing is going well, i think.

we tried selling most of our furniture on craigslist. people on that site really are obnoxious though. if you aren't next door or paying for shipping, they won't want anything. and they want what they do want as close to free as possible.

we put up a ton of stuff, dressers, bookshelves, art desk, air conditioners, tvs, clothes, various other things...

the number of people who led us to believe they were going to purchase something than never did... we were able to sell a TON of our stuff to just one lady, so she was a godsend to us. we sold one of the tvs at the last minute, for WAY cheaper than we should have.

but we left a lot of stuff, too. it was really very sad. i gave a couple of things to Greg from SOMA, but we left a lot of items.

we gave away a ton of stuff to our neighbors, but posting "free" signs and leaving our stuff out for grabs. let me tell you, stuff was GONE. i can't lie, but at one point, i went to check on what was still left, and a little old man was sifting through the leftovers. i don't know why, but it made me really sad, and i cried. hmpf... I am just too sensitive sometimes. Maybe he just reminded me of my grandfather in some way, I don't know. Seeing this just made me very sad.

Anyway...

And it snowed. I was excited to see the snow, before we left, thinking it may have been our last snow. But of course, it snowed in Chicago, then snowed at our layover in Utah, so I got to see plenty of it before arriving in LA.
